Retail Supervisor – Full-Time Permanent Position

Hours & Pay

  • Hours: 39 hours across 5 days per week (regular working week from 7am).
  • Pay: £13.61 per hour (minimum £530 per week guaranteed).
  • Upto additional earnings via available overtime.

About the Role 📍 Yardley, West Midlands

We’re seeking a retail supervisor to join our team as a key member of the shop management team. This permanent full-time position (FTSV) requires flexibility across a 5-day working week (including possible weekend shifts).

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting and leading the team to ensure an efficient, friendly, and high-service shop environment.
  • Ensuring daily routines are completed, maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy shop.
  • Leading through manager absence by:
    • Handling store operations (opening/closing, cash handling, order processing).
    • Overseeing deliveries and ensuring smooth shop routines.
  • Managing operational costs (shrinkage, waste, payroll).
  • Mentoring and developing retail assistants.

Requirements

Essential Qualities

  • A friendly, positive, and hardworking attitude.
  • Strong people skills to foster strong working relationships.
  • Trustworthiness and reliability—ownership in all tasks cast upon you.
  • The ability to work flexibly across shifts, including weekends.
  • Experience as a supervisor, team leader, or manager (retail or other industry)—preferred, but not strictly required.

Pane Duties & Checks

  • If you receive the position, you will undergo a:
    • Basic DBS check (England/Wales) OR
    • Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland)
  • Employment subject to satisfactory Criminal Disclosure/Check result.
