Retail Supervisor - Full Time
Retail Supervisor – Port Glasgow, Inverclyde
Hours: 39 hours across 5 days per week, including shift work (7 days potentially required due to flexibility requirements)
Pay: £13.61 per hour (minimum guaranteed 39 hours, £530+ per week) – overtime available

About the Role
As a Retail Supervisor at our Port Glasgow shop, you’ll play a key role in managing a small team and ensuring a positive, efficient shopping experience for customers. You will:
- Lead a team of retail assistants to deliver excellent customer service
- Open and close the shop, handle cash transactions and reconcile daily takings
- Manage operational costs, including waste reduction and payroll efficiency
- Ensure daily routines are maintained for a clean, safe and well-organised shop
- Place orders to keep stock levels optimal
- Work independently in the absence of a manager, ensuring seamless delivery

What We’re Looking For
- A hardworking, friendly and proactive attitude in a customer-facing role
- Strong team player skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
- Trustworthy and highly reliable, as you’ll be entrusted with team duties, payroll responsibilities and customer financial transactions
- Experience as a supervisor/manager (in retail or similar) would be ideal, though we encourage career starters to apply
- Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS/Disclosure Scotland check if successful (needed for role requirements)

Contract Information
- Contract type: Full-time salary variable (FTSV) – 39-hour weeks
- Employment detail: 5 days/week with shift flexibility, plus availability on a rotational 7-day basis as required for business needs.
