We're looking for an experienced Retail Sustainability & Contracts Lead
We're looking for an experienced Retail Sustainability & Contracts Lead to drive our sustainability agenda across our retail operation while managing key supplier and service contracts that keep our shops running efficiently and responsibly.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about sustainability, has strong commercial acumen, and thrives on building relationships that deliver both social and environmental impact.
In this role you'll play a key role in developing and delivering sustainability initiatives that support Marie Curie's retail strategy. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to identify opportunities to reduce our environmental impact, improve operational efficiency and maximise value from our contracts.
You'll also oversee a portfolio of retail contracts, ensuring suppliers deliver excellent service, value for money and align with Marie Curie's values.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and implementing sustainability initiatives across the retail estate, supporting our environmental objectives.
- Identifying opportunities to reduce waste, improve recycling and promote circular economy practices.
- Managing key retail contracts, ensuring performance, compliance and value for money.
- Monitoring supplier performance using KPIs and service level agreements.
- Building strong relationships and work collaboratively with Retail Operations, Property, Finance, Procurement and external stakeholders.
- Analysing data and produce reports that demonstrate the impact of sustainability initiatives and contract performance.
- Identifying opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement and cost efficiencies.

Key Criteria:
- Experience in managing commercial or operational contracts in a charity environment.
- Knowledge of sustainability principles, environmental best practice or circular economy initiatives.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed recommendations.
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Confidence influencing stakeholders at all levels.
- Attention to detail with strong communication and presentation skills.
- A collaborative approach with a passion for delivering positive change.

Additional Information
Salary: £28,274-31,415 per annum plus benefits
Contract: Permanent full time 35h per week
Based: Swindon Office
