Majestic Wine Specialist Trainee Manager – UK (North London)

Fancy joining the UK’s number one Wine Specialist?

About Majestic Wine

Since 1980, Majestic Wine has been defining the UK wine retail experience. Today, we’re the country’s largest specialist wine retailer, operating over 200 stores across the nation. Recent private ownership and a bold transformation—notably, improved product ranges, an upgraded website, and six newly-launched stores—have set us on a path to 5-star retail growth.

At its core, our success hinges on our 1,000+ WSET-trained team members who deliver exceptional service both in-store and online. With 1,100+ wines, spirits, and beers available—no minimum purchase required—every customer leaves with expert guidance and unforgettable experiences.

The Role: Majestic Trainee Manager (12-Month Development Programme)

This programme offers you hands-on training, leadership mentorship, and real-world experience in store operations, sales growth, and customer service—preparing you to step into a Store Manager role later on.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer-Centric Ambassadorship: Represent the store’s exceptional standards, creating loyalty and repeat business through market-leading service. • Drive sales by maximizing opportunities while optimizing KPIs (e.g., stock turnover, happy hour spikes). • Act as a **concierge for VIP customers, proactively engaging with personalized offers, tastings, and product updates. • Sell the story, not the discount: Builds connections through passionate storytelling about our products, hosting tasting events, and managing a vibrant tasting counter.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
