The Role: Majestic Trainee Manager
This is a 12-month apprenticeship designed to prepare you for a career as a Store Manager. You’ll:
- Work closely with your Store Manager through our career pathway training programme
- Gain hands-on experience across all key operational, service, and leadership areas
- Develop essential skills to excel in retail leadership

- Be the face of your store, reinforcing Majestic’s commitment to excellent service
- Drive store performance through sales maximisation and KPI optimisation

Customer Experience & Loyalty
- Deliver exceptional, market-leading service to foster repeat business
- Offer a VIP concierge service, proactively engaging customers with product updates and tastings
- Sell expertise, not discounts—share your passion for wine through in-depth knowledge, tastings, and events
Specialist Wine Knowledge & Growth
- Take ownership of your wine education, striving for WSET qualifications (Levels 2 & 3)
- Host engaging tastings and manage a commercially effective tasting counter
Store Maintenance & Operational Excellence
- Ensure cleanliness and professionalism in all store areas (internal and external)
- Participate in daily operations to build expertise (deliveries, merchandising, post-sales care)
- Continuously identify and drive improvements in store efficiency
Compliance & Development
- Uphold safety, legal, and internal policies
- Complete mandatory training and leverage available resources for personal growth
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Model Majestic’s Ways of Working and support junior colleagues
- Escalate feedback to your Store Manager as needed
Knowledge & Skills Required
- Proven experience in a fast-paced, target-driven retail or hospitality role
- Ability to deliver outstanding customer service consistently
- Strong problem-solving, prioritisation, and multitasking skills under pressure
- Self-motivated, with resilience for换环境的变化 and adaptability with long-term goals
- Communication prowess and immaculate time management
- A passion for wine (formal knowledge is advantageous, but trainability is essential)
- Full UK manual driving licence (held for at least 12 months, with no more than 6 penalty points)

Job Specifics
- Contract: Permanent
- Hours: 44 hours per week
- Salary: £29,358.70 per annum
