Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You'll oversee the delivery of a retail strategy that supports passenger growth from 30 million to over 43 million passengers by FY34, including the creation of 40 new retail units, expansion of the airport's airside retail footprint to 20,000sqm, and delivery of a retail business plan that grows from £110m to £180m+.

This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll influence senior stakeholders, manage complex programmes, lead major tender processes and ensure commercial opportunities are maximised throughout the transformation journey. Following completion of the transformation programme, you'll transition into the role of Head of Retail, leading the Retail Category team to drive continued commercial performance.

What Will Make You Successful?

We're looking for an experienced commercial leader who combines strategic thinking with exceptional programme delivery skills.

You'll bring:

  • Significant experience leading large-scale retail, commercial or transformation programmes within complex, customer-focused environments.
  • A proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and build strong relationships across multiple business functions.
  • Extensive experience managing complex projects from strategy through to delivery, balancing commercial priorities with operational requirements.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience developing business cases and delivering against ambitious financial targets.
  • Experience managing competitive tender processes, supplier engagement and commercial negotiations.
  • The ability to work effectively within live operational environments, balancing customer experience with project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence presenting complex information to senior leadership teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and resolve complex challenges.
  • Experience working with retailers, contractors, consultants and external partners at senior level.
  • Ideally, over 10 years' experience in retail, commercial, aviation, infrastructure or major transformation environments.
