Position: Retail Volunteer
Location
Willow shops based across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire
Role Description
This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic volunteer to join our small but busy shop team. We are looking for someone who can commit to supporting the team on a regular, ongoing basis each week.
Retail volunteers should be willing to get involved with a range of tasks including sorting donations, hanging and steaming clothes or serving customers on the till. A friendly and approachable manner is a must.
What’s involved?
It is a lively role where an ability to connect with people is helpful especially when promoting donations and Gift Aid which are essential to the income of our shops. Retail volunteers play an important part in helping customers and raising vital funds for Willow’s beneficiaries.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
