Retirement Housing Assistant - West Lothian
About the Role
As an Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring internal communal areas are clean, hygienic, and meet expected standards for our tenants and visitors
- Preparing the dining room for mealtimes
- Heating and delivering prepared meals to tenants
- Occasionally cleaning vacant flats and/or external pathways of the development
- Providing general and emergency assistance to tenants as required
- Responding to property emergencies when the Manager is off duty
- Covering the development office as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Managing meal preparation and delivery services
- Assisting with health and safety protocols
- Supporting the Manager when necessary, including during emergencies
Additional Line-Specific Notes:
- Post will be based at Stewart Court
- Hours of Employment: 16 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About You
- Experience: Experience in a similar role is advantageous, but not essential as training will be provided
- Key Qualities & Skills:
- A genuine interest in working with older people
- Ability to respond calmly to assistance requests
- Additional Requirements:
- REHIS Elementary Food Hygiene Qualification or equivalent would be desirable
