Salary: Up to £31,905 plus on call payments Location: Worcestershire Basis: Permanent, Full Time

Are you a Housing Officer looking to make a difference? Do you have a passion for Specialist Housing or Supported Living?

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Retirement Housing Officer to join our team. In this rewarding role, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality housing management service to customers living in our retirement communities supporting them to live independently, safely, and comfortably.

This role will be based in the Worcestershire area and will involve regular travel to visit customers at their homes and in the community.

This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week between 8:30am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. You may also be required to be part of an on-call rota for approximately two weeks of the year.

What could you be doing?

  • Providing day-to-day housing management support to customers in retirement housing schemes
  • Carrying out regular health & safety checks, including fire safety and compliance inspections
  • Supporting customers to sustain their tenancies and maintain independence
  • Managing voids, lettings, and allocations in line with policies and procedures
  • Responding to repairs and maintenance issues, liaising with contractors where required
  • Promoting customers engagement, organise customer meetings and community activities
  • Handling low-level anti-social behaviour and neighbour disputes appropriately
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and organisational standards
  • Working collaboratively with internal teams, external agencies, and family members where appropriate

What are somethings that we need from you?

  • Experience of working in a customer-facing role in a Housing organisation or with older people in a community/retirement housing is preferred. You will also ideally have knowledge of housing management practises and legislation
  • An awareness of working with vulnerable Adults would be desirable
  • Passionate about providing excellent customer service
  • Able to lone-work and also work well as part of a team. You'll be confident in managing a varied workload independently
  • Empathetic and understanding of the needs of older people
  • Highly organised with strong administrative skills
  • A good communicator with the ability to build positive relationships
  • Due to the travel to offices and other facilities, a driving license and use of your own vehicle will be required. You will also need to be based in Worcestershire.
  • An Enhanced DBS check is also required for this role.
