About the Role
At Riverside, a housing association dedicated to enhancing everyday lives, the Retirement Living Coordinator will facilitate coordination and delivery of professional services to retirement living customers across designated schemes. Responsibilities include service management, facilities oversight, housing coordination, and partnership collaboration to ensure best-in-class care and local community integration.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Needs Assessment
- Lead lettings, occupancy, and individualized support for new residents.
- Coordinate practical services (e.g., applying for welfare benefits, managing occupancy agreements, liaising with agencies).
- Provide day-to-day practical support, housing advice, and information to customers.
Housing & Facilities Management
- Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) for essentials like:
- Maintenance of lifts, heating, fire equipment, gardening services, etc.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure best-practice compliance.
- Develop and maintain tenant relationships, promoting responsible compliance.
Safeguarding & Operational Oversight
- Assess customers’ housing suitability in collaboration with relevant agencies.
- Reduce anti-social behaviour through proactive monitoring.
- Ensure Riverside Health & Safety and security policies are followed at all schemes.
- Maintain proper records and IT systems, including housing management software.
Community Engagement & Marketing
- Promote customer participation in scheme events/activities.
- Enhance local integration by fostering community connections.
- Coordinate marketing and promotion to minimize void periods and attract new residents.
Compliance & Reporting
- Adhere to plan, comply, measure, report frameworks, including:
- Equality & Diversity, Data Privacy (GDPR), Risk Management.
- Monitor financial targets (rent collection, arrears).
- Guarantee compliance with all Riverside policies, including:
- Safeguarding
- Dignity at Work
- CQC & regulatory standards

Core Requirements
Essential Knowledge & Experience
- Working with vulnerable/older adults: Proven expertise.
- Housing management: Strong understanding of tenancy agreements, compliance, and team coordination.
- Agency liaison: Confident in working with care providers, medical services, local authorities.
- IT proficiency: Basic Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) with willingness to learn care-specific IT systems.
Desirable
- Qualifications in housing/care support or relevant experience (advantageous but not essential).
- Full, clean driving license (self-funded).
Additional Duties & Practicalities
- Flexible working: Some duties may fall outside standard office hours.
- Travel: Scheduled visits within designated areas (including lone-work situations).
- Sensitive/confidential data handling: Strict adherence to privacy policies required.
- Continuous development: Ongoing training to stay compliant and skilled.
