Contract Type: Permanent Salary: £28,031.56 per annum Working Hours: Full-time (37.5 hrs/week) Working Pattern: Monday to Friday Location: Harbour Place, Workington

The Difference You’ll Make
Working as part of a best-practice-driven team in social housing, you’ll coordinate and deliver a professional service to retirement living customers, managing service level agreements and ensuring facilities and housing compliance.
About the Role
Responsibilities
Your role will include:
- Ensuring occupancy targets through lettings, refurbishments, and void management.
- Meeting rent collection and arrears targets.
- Monitoring service contracts, including lifts, heating, fire equipment, and gardening services.
- Supporting customers—assisting with occupation agreements, welfare benefit claims, and liaising with benefit agencies.
- Conducting regular site inspections to ensure best-practice standards in housing management.
- Reducing anti-social behaviour within retirement living services.
- Promoting tenancy compliance and clear communication of customer responsibilities.
- Strengthening local community ties through collaboration with neighbourhoods.
- Using IT systems effectively, including housing management software and maintaining professional records.
- Assessing housing needs of potential customers, consulting with relevant agencies.
- Implementing Riverside’s Health and Safety policies, ensuring customer security.
- Onboarding new customers with information on scheme services and community opportunities.
- Encouraging customer engagement, participation in activities, and local community integration.
- Managing the lettings process, minimizing void periods via allocations policy adherence and marketing promotion.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Travelling across designated schemes to deliver services effectively.
- Adhering to Riverside’s Code of Conduct and maintaining professional integrity.
- Ensuring data compliance with GDPR and Riverside’s Equality & Diversity policies.
- Upholding safeguarding policies in all operational areas.
- Working flexible hours, including outside normal office times if the business requires it.
- Using Lone Worker systems as needed.
- Acting within Riverside’s Policy & Procedure framework (e.g., health & safety, GDPR, cash handling).
- Participating in team meetings, supervisions, and continuous learning initiatives.
- On occasion, undertaking additional duties agreed with your line manager.
Operational Requirements:
- Travel across multiple locations for role efficiency.
- Handling sensitive information requiring strict confidentiality.
- Working flexibly during operational hours.

Person Specification
Essential Requirements
- Relevant experience working with older or vulnerable people.
- Experience in housing management duties.
- Experience liaising with agencies/partner organisations.
- Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office—Word and Excel—and willingness to learn Riverside’s IT systems).
Desirable Qualifications/Experience
- Formal housing qualification (e.g., care, support, or domestic studies).
- A full, clean driving licence (for work-related travel).
