About the Role

Our client, a leading global legal business, is expanding its Catastrophic Loss team in Manchester. Renowned for delivering high-quality legal and claims solutions across insurance and complex litigation, the firm specialises in high-value, technically challenging work.

You’ll join a collaborative and inclusive environment, with strong support for career development and progression.

Applicants are welcomed from claimant and defendant solicitors or chartered legal executives, particularly those with strong multi-track personal injury experience.


Your New Role

An exciting opportunity for a Newly Qualified (NQ+) Solicitor or junior Solicitor to join a cutting-edge catastrophic injury team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a caseload of multi-track personal injury claims (EL/PL or RTA)
  • Assisting senior lawyers on high-value catastrophic injury cases, including:
    • Brain injuries
    • Spinal injuries
    • Fatal accident claims
  • Advising clients on liability, quantum, and case strategy
  • Drafting documents, witness statements, and court pleadings
  • Preparing cases for trial and hearings
  • Engaging in settlement negotiations and ADR processes
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Staying current with legal developments in catastrophic injury and insurance law

Requirements & Success Factors

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (NQ+ status required)
  • Strong multi-track personal injury experience (defendant background preferred, but claimant backgrounds considered)
  • Experience in EL/PL (Employers’ Liability/Public liability) and/or RTA claims
  • Solid grasp of liability and quantum assessment
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and commercial skills
  • Proven client-facing communication abilities
  • Strong academic background (preferably high 2:1 or above)
