Role Overview

This role will focus on revenue reporting, performance analysis, and financial controls across a complex EMEA business. The role combines technical accounting expertise, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven analysis to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and insightfulness of management reporting.

Our client is a leading global banking group headquartered in London, with a strong presence across the EMEA region. Based in the City area of London.


Description

  • Own and maintain monthly revenue and profit reporting processes, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and control.
  • Deliver financial and management reporting outputs, including performance analysis and senior management reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation issues, providing root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Treasury, and Front Office teams to provide guidance on revenue recognition, transaction booking, and reporting treatment.
  • Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and reporting enhancements to improve efficiency and strengthen controls.
  • Support governance activities, maintain documentation, and help ensure robust reporting and control frameworks are in place.

Profile

The ideal candidate will be / have:

  • Qualified or nearly qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience gained within banking or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of management reporting, financial accounting, and investment banking products.
  • Experience investigating reconciliations, revenue reporting, and working with complex financial data.
  • Advanced analytical skills with strong knowledge of Excel and other data tools.
  • Familiarity with accounting standards and the ability to assess the impact of technical accounting requirements.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused communicator who can influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
