The Role

We’re seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager to lead our revenue accounting team and own our revenue recognition strategy, processes, and systems. Reporting to the Finance Director of Order to Cash, you will manage a team of two Revenue Accountants while ensuring compliance with IFRS 15 accounting standards and optimizing revenue processes across the organization.

You’ll lead a revenue finance team of approximately three people and work closely with Deal Desk, Sales Operations, Legal, Product, and the wider finance team to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition.

This is a player-coach leadership role: you will manage, develop, and set direction for the team while staying hands-on with technical accounting, complex contracts, and large-scale data analysis in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

Your Responsibilities

Team Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of two Revenue Accountants, setting clear goals and priorities and reviewing their work for quality and accuracy
  • Conduct regular one-to-ones, performance reviews, and career development conversations, providing coaching and actionable feedback
  • Allocate workloads across the close cycle, manage capacity, and ensure the team meets reporting deadlines
  • Build a high-performing, collaborative team culture; support hiring, onboarding, and upskilling as the team grows
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for the team and represent revenue accounting to finance leadership and cross-functional stakeholders

Revenue Recognition

  • Ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue in compliance with IFRS 15
  • Review and analyze contracts and add-ons to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment
  • Handle complex revenue scenarios across our SaaS and high-volume data environment

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
