Revenue Analyst

Interim Revenue Analyst – 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Location: Cambridge, UK (Hybrid – Minimum 2 Days/Week Office-Based)

Join Jagex, the company behind RuneScape, in this pivotal role where you’ll drive financial integrity, streamline revenue processes, and champion scalable solutions during a critical period of transition.

About the Role

We’re seeking an Interim Revenue Analyst to support revenue accounting, reconciliation, and reporting in our Finance team. Beyond core responsibilities, this role will shape how we handle high-volume revenue data—transitioning from manual reconciliations to automated systems while ensuring transparency and accuracy.

You’ll work across multiple billing systems, payment processors (e.g., PayPal, Adyen), and revenue platforms, uncovering insights to support strategic decision-making.

A hybrid work model allows flexibility while ensuring presence for onsite collaboration when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly revenue recognition process, consolidating and validating data from disparate sources to ensure deferrals and accruals adhere to accounting principles.
  • Prepare and finalise monthly revenue/deferred revenue journals, meeting deadlines for month-end closes.
  • Reconcile revenue calculations, billing systems, and PSP platforms, resolving discrepancies to safeguard financial reporting integrity.
  • Analyse large, complex datasets across systems (e.g., SQL extracts, journals) to derive actionable financial insights.
  • Develop/maintain advanced Excel models (Power Query/Pivot) for efficient reconciliations and automated workflows.
  • Support the transition to Chargebee, ensuring smooth reporting continuity post-migration from legacy billing platforms.
  • Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual effort without compromising accuracy or control.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
