Job Title: Finance Analyst (Revenue Close & Commissions) – FreeWheel
About the Role
Comcast Advertising’s FreeWheel Finance team seeks a mission-driven, self-starting, quantitative specialist to own the calculation and delivery of key monthly and quarterly revenue deliverables. This role involves driving innovative, scalable solutions, maintaining revenue models, ensuring accuracy, and reporting for global entities. You’ll collaborate with FP&A, Accounting, and cross-functional teams to improve financial integrity and automate processes.
Primary Responsibilities
Revenue Close Support (Monthly)
- Own the preparation and delivery of monthly revenue close deliverables for international entities, including:
- Accrual calculations
- Journal entry preparation
- Variance analysis
- Execute revenue calculations and schedules, ensuring accuracy & completeness before managerial review.
- Support monthly forecasting and closing by providing timely revenue performance analysis.
- Partner with FP&A & Accounting teams to ensure revrec compliance and accurate reporting.
Sales Commission Processing (Quarterly)
- Support the quarterly commission grind (~110 employees across regions & functions).
- Consolidate & validate commission inputs (bookings, targets, plan mechanics, revenue attainment).
- Prepare & document individual commission calculation files for managerial review.
- Maintain structured, auditable commission calculation records.

Data Management & Process Improvement
- Manage/update revenue & commission mapping files for consistency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve data quality and drive system automation.
- Assist in developing & enhancing reporting tools, dashboards, & automated workflows.
Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of revenue-related balance sheet accounts.
- Investigate discrepancies and drive timely resolution.
- Maintain support files for audit auditability.
- Partner with Accounting to uphold controls and compliance.
Ad Hoc Analysis & Special Projects
- Support unplanned financial reporting requests.
- Participate in special projects & process improvements as assigned.
- Provide insights to management for data-driven decision-making.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or qualifying combination of coursework + experience
- Studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) – advantageous
Experience
- 2+ years in Accounting, Audit, or FP&A within a fast-paced, tech-savvy environment
- Enthusiasm for big tech (especially FreeWheel, ad-tech, or media-sales)
Skills & Tools
- Excel mastery (large datasets, complex formulas, lookups, PivotTables, data validation, Power Query bonus)
- Confidence in financial modelling & analysis
- Ability to address problems independently and scale solutions.
