About the job
As Revenue Insights Manager (Rail), you will be working with a team of Commercial Insights Analysts and Stakeholders, building and delivering informative reports that will guide crucial business decisions.
You will act as a Business Consultant; leading conversations to establish business need, agreeing deliverable output, designing the process of data gathering / data analysis and generating valuable insights, ensuring validity of results. You will communicate with stakeholders throughout and deliver clear and easily understood results so that appropriate action can be taken.
This role would suit someone that is currently a Revenue Insights Manager, Commercial Insights Manager or an external Business Consultant / Transport Consultant with experience delivering analysis for revenue growth in rail.

Revenue Insights Manager will:
- Work closely with stakeholders, using probing questions to effectively establish the business need, risks and opportunities
- Lead in-depth data analysis of SWR markets, generating accurate results that can be used to form valuable insights with actionable outputs
- Understand our customers; drivers of passenger demand; trends within SWR and the wider industry; competition (both rail and non-rail); SWR products
- Lead and coach a team of Commercial Insights Analysts to meet the needs of multiple ongoing projects
- Effectively engage stakeholders across the business that are responsible for driving revenue growth
- Deputise for the Senior Revenue Manager as required
You'll need:
- 5 years + experience in a commercial data analysis / insights role
- Experience consulting with senior stakeholders
- Ability to proactively manage your own time and design your own projects
- Must have a relevant degree, i.e. economics, mathematics, science
- Experience using data analysis tools such as: Power BI, SQL, Python
- Previous experience managing revenue insights for the rail industry is highly advantageous

Working pattern
As Revenue Insights Manager, you will work an average of 37 hours per week across 5 days.
