Revenue Manager
Revenue Manager – The Arora Group
The Arora Group is one of the largest private owner and operator of hotels in the UK, with over 6,000 rooms in operation across 12 Global Brands, including Marriott, Hilton, Accor, IHG and Radisson. The Revenue Manager is responsible for managing hotel room inventory, optimising pricing and availability strategies to maximise total revenue and profit. The role involves setting rates, packages, and sales strategies within the hotel’s inventory systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively review and implement accommodation rates and volume controls, ensuring weekly and monthly adjustments are aligned with daily inventory management across all market segments.
- Monitor rate parity agreements with third-party distribution sites.
- Chair weekly strategy meetings to agree on pricing and availability controls for defined periods.
- Dictate and deploy strategies in line with budget constraints, business needs, and market conditions. Regularly review pricing and demand calendars for M&E (Marriott & Partners, Events, etc.), rooms, and groups.
- Liaise with third-party market managers to ensure desired market share targets are met.
- Review monthly client production reports and collaborate with the Sales Director, Hotel GM, and Revenue Director to determine appropriate actions.
- Generate daily pick-up reports, analyse performance, and implement necessary adjustments.
- Produce and review month-end revenue reports, providing critical analysis of performance against forecasts and the impact of implemented strategies.
- Extract insights from booking pace reports and adjust strategies as needed.
- Conduct displacement analysis of group bookings to assess revenue impact on RevPAR (Revenue Per Available Room).
- Analyse past and present trends to develop future revenue-strengthening strategies.
- Review competitive rate shop reports daily, identifying opportunities for revenue maximisation.
- Maintain demand calendars, historical event data, and promotional period records.
- Recognise ** demand fluctuations (peaks and troughs)** and adjust strategies accordingly.
