About the Role
Job Title: Customer-Focused Revenue Officer
Core Responsibility: You’ll administer and collect Council Tax and Business Rates, ensuring regulatory compliance while delivering exceptional customer service to both residents and commercial stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Council Tax and Business Rates accounts, including assessing liability, applying discounts, and processing reliefs.
- Handle updates for changes in circumstances and maintain accurate user records.
- Monitor payment status, coordinate refunds, and oversee recovery actions when necessary.
- Provide clear, helpful advice and support to customers and stakeholders.
- Resolve queries, appeals, and correspondence professionally and efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimise service delivery.

About You
Essential
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Revenues environment (merit preferred).
- Proven communication and customer service skills with a dedicated approach.
- Numerate, with confidence in handling financial information and accounts.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing workloads both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with MS Office (strong Excel and Word competencies).
- Commitment to continuous improvement and delivering exceptional service.
