The Revenues and Benefits Service provides the statutory functions of collecting Council Tax and Business Rates, alongside administering applications for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support.
We are offering an exciting opportunity to join the Revenues and Benefits Team. The Council are seeking customer focussed individuals who will be able to help us deliver an excellent service to local residents and businesses.
You will have good communication skills with a wide range of people, using both written and verbal communication. You should have patience with customers and good listening skills that can be used to resolve residents’ queries. You will have the ability to complete tasks in a pressurised environment and work with little supervision.

You will be required to work on a wide range of tasks including the processing of Housing Benefit applications, Council Tax Support applications and the collection of Council Tax and Business Rates.
In return, the Service will offer full training, access to flexible working (including hybrid working) and the opportunity to study for professional qualifications in Revenues and Benefits with the Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation.
