At AECOM, we’re at the forefront of infrastructure innovation with a dynamic and multidisciplinary Water Engineering team seeking a Revit Technician in Glasgow.


About the Role

Join AECOM’s rapidly growing Glasgow office in a flexible hybrid working model, leveraging intermediate to advanced Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM experience. You’ll shape the future of water infrastructure while collaborating with major clients like Thames Water, Welsh Water, South West Water, and Scottish Water.

Responsibilities

Your work will include:

  • Utilise Digital Tools: Review, influence, and enhance design quality processes.
  • Champion BIM: Promote and lead BIM behaviours across projects.
  • Manage Revit Deliverables: Oversee and ensure on-time budget-compliant completion.
  • Project Support: Create precision Revit models (following standards), including metadata and classification systems.
  • Maintain Standards: Assist the Digital Engineering Lead with CAD workflows, modelling best practices, and advanced digital developments.
  • Collaborate in Meetings: Share insights in design discussions, championing 3D model reviews and markups.
  • Mentor Technicians: Support junior Revit Technicians across the Scotland office base.

Qualifications & Experience

We’re looking for applicants with:

  • Postgraduate or equivalent certification in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Experience delivering project information under BIM standards.
  • Proficiency in Revit and a minimum of 1–3 years in validating models with a software like Navisworks.
  • Experience working with Common Data Environments (e.g., ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud).

Proven potential (even partial fulfilment) is a strong case for application.
