Where will you be working?
As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.
What will you be doing?
As a Reward Specialist, you will provide expert support across compensation, pensions, and benefits, ensuring reward processes are delivered accurately, compliantly, and efficiently. Working closely with the Compensation Manager and Pension & Benefits Manager, you will play a key role in supporting reward programmes, enhancing the employee experience, and driving continuous improvement across our reward offering.
You will act as the subject matter expert for compensation, pensions, and benefits, providing guidance and resolving complex queries across the business. You'll work proactively to improve reward communications, helping colleagues easily access information while reducing demand on the Shared Service team.
You'll take ownership of the administration and governance of pension and benefits schemes, ensuring accurate data management within Oracle, overseeing outsourced providers, and supporting the effective delivery of recognition programmes. You'll also help ensure compliance with salary sacrifice and National Minimum Wage requirements across the Group.

The role will be responsible for producing reward-related reporting and insights, including pension and benefits analysis, equal pay reviews, and market benchmarking data to support pay decisions. Working closely with the Compensation Manager and Pension & Benefits Manager, you'll also contribute to the development of new reward initiatives and support key reward projects across the business.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience working in a Reward, Benefits, Pensions, Payroll, or HR environment in an administrative or advisory capacity.
- Strong understanding of reward, benefits, payroll, and HR processes, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working within a Shared Services environment, including service levels, escalations, and customer service standards.
- Proven problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and delivering efficient solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyse and report on data effectively.
