Reward and Benefits Co-Ordinator
About Us
Halfords is on a journey—building the future of motoring and cycling and looking for people who want to help shape what comes next. We're a place for co-creators: individuals who want to make a real impact, take ownership, and be part of something still evolving.
As the UK’s leading retailer of motoring and cycling products, we’re supported by one of the country’s largest independent vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair networks through Halfords Autocentres. This breadth gives us a strong, stable foundation—and the freedom to keep innovating and growing.
This delivers real variety for our colleagues, along with opportunities to learn, grow and develop as the business evolves. Whether in customer-facing or back-office roles, you’ll support a team focused on delivering exceptional service, putting your expertise to work in solving problems, guiding customers, and helping keep the nation mobile with confidence.
About the Role
The Reward and Benefits Co-Ordinator serves as the first point of contact for colleagues regarding reward and benefits, offering clear, supportive guidance across a broad range of queries. This role is pivotal in ensuring colleagues enjoy a seamless and positive experience with their benefit access, while cultivating strong relationships with People Advisors and key stakeholders internally.
You will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operation of Halfords’ benefit and discount programmes, overseeing administration, maintaining accurate records, and keeping our colleague benefits portal (“Wheels”) up to date and engaging. Your responsibilities will also extend to salary sacrifice schemes, employee recognition programmes, and other engagement initiatives, ensuring all tasks are handled accurately and delivered on time.
Working closely with the wider Reward Team, you’ll assist in cyclical processes such as pay reviews, bonus distributions, and share plans. This is an excellent opportunity to deepen your Reward expertise, explore diverse activities, and contribute actively to continually enhancing our colleague support and engagement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
