Reward Assistant

Reward Assistant – 6-Month FTC (Fixed-Term Contract), London City Office

Role Overview

Wholly international law firm, with an exceptional reputation in corporate finance, is seeking a Reward Assistant on a 6-month FTC basis to work from their London office in the heart of the City.

This opportunity is ideal for an HR or Reward professional looking to develop within a high-performing, global professional services environment.

As part of a collaborative and supportive Reward team, you’ll play a critical role in:

  • Admin and delivery of employee and partner benefits
  • Providing first-line support on reward-related queries
  • Ensuring smooth operation of reward processes across the business

Key exposure areas include:

  • Compensation & benefits administration
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Reporting & project support
  • Delivering a high-standard service to employees and senior leadership

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day support to the Reward team across:
    • Compensation & benefits administration
  • Acting as the first point of contact for:
    • Employee and partner reward/benefits queries
  • Managing a shared Reward inbox, ensuring:
    • Efficient, professional query handling
  • Producing and maintaining regular reporting for:
    • Payroll
    • Benefits providers
    • Internal stakeholders
  • Performing data checks, reconciliations, and audits to:
    • Ensure accuracy of employee and benefits data
  • Processing:
    • Benefit-related invoices
  • Supporting financial reconciliations
  • Assisting with:
    • Annual benefits renewals
    • Wider reward cycles
  • Supporting administration & ongoing maintenance of:
    • Firm’s online benefits platform
  • Creating engaging communications to promote:
    • Employee and partner benefits
  • Delivering presentations & benefit overviews to:
    • New joiners
    • Trainees
  • Holistic support including:
    • Ad hoc reward projects
    • Supplier management activities

Requirements

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in:
    • HR
    • Reward
    • Benefits
    • Compensation
  • Professional services experience, ideally from:
    • Legal
    • Financial services
    • Accounting
    • Consulting
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including:
    • Pivot tables
    • Lookups
    • Data manipulation
  • Exceptional attention to detail & numerical accuracy
  • Strong organisation skills with multi-priority/deadline management
  • Fluent written & verbal communication
  • Prior experience using HR systems like Workday (or similar platforms)
  • Proactive solutions-focused mindset
  • A genuine passion for reward & benefits
