RF Antennae Design and Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated RF Antennae Design Engineer to join our proactive and innovative Hardware Development team.
Responsibilities
Work individually or in teams alongside mechanical and electronic engineers to develop new antenna designs. Develop designs using 3D EM simulation software CST Microwave Studio, MATLAB and SIMULINK. Assist with assembly and testing of prototype designs. Communicate with clients, internal and external project managers, and test houses to ensure workflow remains on schedule. Participate in and lead design reviews and manage engineering change notes through the product development process in line with ISO 9001 procedures Create and maintain project, design and test documentation. Provide management information on design developments for reporting purposes as required. Adherence to all health, safety, environmental & quality policies and standards Any other duties as the business requires
Qualifications
Ideally a degree qualified, chartered engineer or working towards chartered status within a recognised and relevant professional body. The SE may hold an HNC in a relevant engineering discipline in concert with significant and demonstrable subject matter expertise in the system domain

Essential Skills
Proven track record in Antenna design Experience of using CST Microwave Studio (or similar) Familiarity with antenna radiation pattern measurements (near-field or far-field) Experience of using VNA’s or similar antenna measurement equipment A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required. Ability to work autonomously on tasks and as part of larger interdisciplinary teams. Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills. Ability to initiate, plan and organise. Proficient in using all Microsoft office packages
Desired Skills
Industrial experience or relevant academic experience in the field of antennas is desirable. Production of antenna designs at RF, microwave or mm-wave frequencies (especially wideband topologies) would be advantageous. Hands-on experience of antenna-based systems for defence, aerospace, or commercial applications desirable
