Registered Nurse (Days/Nights) – Exceptional Care Home (Guernsey, Channel Islands)

An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a passionate Registered Nurse to work in an exceptional care home based in Guernsey, Channel Islands (part of the UK’s leading healthcare providers).

This care home delivers an exceptional standard of care, tailored to each person’s individual requirements.

About the Role

To be considered for this position, you must be a qualified Registered Nurse with an active NMC Pin.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

As a Nurse, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering person-centred care – Continuously assess residents’ needs and wishes, adapting care plans to enhance their quality of life and independence.
  • Championing choice and autonomy – Support residents’ decision-making and develop/review care plans to reflect evolving physical, social, and psychological needs.
  • Medication oversight –Manage all aspects of medicine administration in line with company policies and current legislation.
  • Reputation management – Maintain a warm, professional relationship with visitors, family, friends, and external stakeholders.
  • Positive resident experience – Ensure high standards from admission through to discharge.
  • Compliance & audits – Actively participate in inspections by RQIA, Trusts, and CCGs and maintain team readiness.
  • Regulatory adherence – Uphold all legal, regulatory, and best-practice guidelines while proactively managing risks.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in IT and communication systems required for nursing roles.
  • Ability to build strong professional relationships (internal/external).

  • Prior experience in elderly healthcare.
  • People management skills.
  • Experience in quality governance, audits, and care planning.
