Registered Nurse (RGN) on Bank at Broomgrove Trust Nursing Home

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Broomgrove Trust Nursing Home for the position of Registered Nurse on Bank, who demonstrates a strong commitment to delivering high-quality nursing care in a supportive, charitable environment.

Our team ensures a minimum of two nurses are available on duty each shift across our 40-bed unit, with clinical support always available.


About You

We are seeking a Registered General Nurse (RGN) with:

  • A valid NMC PIN (minimum 3 years nursing experience)
  • Strong clinical skills to ensure exceptional patient care
  • A professional, friendly, approachable attitude
  • The ability to quickly learn and embody our staff values
  • Motivation to mentor and coach junior team members
  • A driven focus on excellent customer service and high-quality care
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of care legislation, regulatory standards, and best practices

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining accurate, complete healthcare records
  • Administering medications, monitoring for side effects, and reactions
  • Prescribing assistive medical devices and related treatments
  • Recording patient vital signs electronically via Predicaire system
  • Ordering medical tests (diagnostic and clinical)
  • Monitoring, reporting, and documenting patient condition changes
  • Administering non-intravenous medications
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Modifying patient treatment plans based on conditions and responses

Hours

This role operates under a zero-hours contract and welcomes flexibility.

  • Standard shifts:
    • 07:30 – 15:00 (afternoon duty)
    • 14:30 – 22:00 (evening/night shift)
  • Double shift option for extra days off:
    • 07:30 – 22:00 (extended day/night shifts)

Currently two vacancies are available.

    • £21.38 per hour (Mon–Fri)
    • 20% bonus at weekends: £25.66/hr
    • Bank holiday pay rate: £32.07/hr
    • Christmas Day & New Year’s Day pay rate: £42.76/hr

Requirements
