About the Role

We invite you to explore the RISE Content Specialist position below and to submit your application to join our team!

The RISE Content Specialist will collaborate with attorneys and colleagues across the practice group to advance the group’s business development, knowledge management, profile-raising, and growth objectives. Working closely with practice group leadership, attorneys, and the business development team, the Role will develop high-quality content and thought leadership that positions RISE as a dominant voice in the market.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting and editing blog posts and articles
  • Supporting copywriting needs (Requests for Proposals, pitch opportunities, legal/industry trend research)
  • Ensuring matter descriptions are accurately captured and maintained

Essential Responsibilities

  • Monitor regulatory and enforcement developments to identify and support strategic opportunities for thought leadership and content development.

  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and the business development team to develop:

    • Blog posts
    • Client advisories
    • Podcast summaries
    • Promotional copy
    • Newsletters
    • External articles
    • Other thought leadership pieces
  • Support multiple teams, including:

    • State Attorneys General
    • Tobacco
    • Securities Enforcement & Investigations
    • Gaming
  • Manage matter descriptions and develop matter case studies for future business development efforts.

  • Assist with copy development for pitches and proposals.

  • Assist with award nominations.

  • Ensure all content is:

    • Accurate, timely, and aligned with firm and practice priorities
    • Written in a client-friendly style consistent with firm branding
    • Adaptable across websites, email, presentations, and social media
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all firm and client information.

Requirements & Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory investigations, enforcement, and related legal frameworks, with expertise in:
    • State attorneys general actions
    • Securities enforcement
    • Gaming regulation
    • Tobacco
  • Ability to write clear, concise thought leadership on trends, legal developments, and case law—accessible to both attorneys and non-attorneys.
  • Exceptional grammar and spelling skills, with the ability to apply the firm’s style guide quickly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills—translating complex data and strategy into compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with comfort navigating:
    • Ambiguity
    • Competing priorities
    • Evolving strategy
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, including:
    • Identifying issues
    • Developing practical solutions

Required Education & Experience

  • J.D. (Juris Doctor degree)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in:
    • Practicing law
    • Writing about regulatory legal matters
  • Minimum 3 years of experience writing client-facing thought leadership content
