Job Title
Risk Analyst (embedded within a third-party managing agent in Lloyd’s)
About the Role
This Risk Analyst role is based within a specialist third-party managing agent team, directly integrated into a client’s operations at Lloyd’s. The primary responsibility is to support the client’s risk management function, collaborating with in-house teams to uphold risk frameworks, drive process improvements, and deliver day-to-day analytical support spanning the risk lifecycle.
The role is placed and managed by a third-party managing agent, with the incumbents embedded directly into the client’s team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the risk register, ensuring all entries remain accurate, current, and evidence-based
- Support risk reporting tailored to board-level, committee, and senior management audiences
- Assist with risk evaluation, including operational, underwriting, and market risks:
- Identify risks
- Assess their impact
- Monitor ongoing risk exposure
- Contribute to Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) processes, including supporting documentation
- Liaise with business divisions to:
- Embed risk appetite frameworks
- Implement escalation procedures
- Identify and propose enhancements to:
- Risk processes
- Control structures
- reporting workflows
- Support stress and scenario testing, documenting key assumptions and findings
- Monitor compliance with Lloyd’s Minimum Standards, including adherence to broader Solvency II requirements

This role requires:
- Proven background in risk management within either the Lloyd’s market or London insurance sector
- Familiarity with:
- Lloyd’s Minimum Standards
- Solvency II-related risk frameworks
- Practical experience preparing:
- Risk registers
- Risk appetite statements
- Executive-level risk reports
- Technical proficiency in:
- Excel and data analytical tools
- Ability to:
- Engage effectively with senior stakeholders
- Work independently while performing day-to-day analytical tasks
- Strong process orientation with an analytic mindset focused on:
- Identifying control gaps
- Streamlining reporting efficiencies
