Risk & Compliance Officer
Location: London Bridge (hybrid after 6 months)

The Opportunity We are seeking a Risk & Compliance Officer to join the Business Acceptance Unit, reporting to the Head of Risk and supporting the wider team across client onboarding, anti-money laundering (AML), and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct conflict checks and assist with conflict analysis
- Manage client and matter onboarding, including AML compliance and client due diligence
- Review client and matter risk assessments
- Review engagement letters to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Perform due diligence research using platforms such as World-Check and Experian
- Advise fee earners on client due diligence and AML obligations
- Support ongoing client monitoring and sanctions screening
- Assist with internal AML audits and compliance projects
- Handle conflicts, undertakings, complaints, and breach management

Requirements:
- Demonstrable previous experience within a law firm
- Proven ability to work proactively, with a collaborative mindset
- Strong skills in prioritising and managing competing workloads
