RISK ASSESSOR (Fire, Health & Safety)

SRVO • Competitive + Benefits • Remote (Bristol / Bath)

ROLE OVERVIEW

You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding residents and buildings by delivering Health & Safety and Fire Risk assessments across occupied residential environments. Your work will help clients understand their legal duties, prioritise actions, and evidence compliance with current UK regulations and best practice.

Operating across diverse property types and resident profiles, you will translate technical findings into practical, proportionate recommendations. You will collaborate with property managers, building owners and contractors to close actions, reduce risk, and embed a culture of continuous improvement.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

  • Most days you will be on site conducting structured inspections of communal areas, plant rooms and external spaces, engaging with responsible persons and on-site staff, and documenting observations with clarity and evidence.
  • You will then produce clear, prioritised assessment reports and action plans, follow up on close-out progress, and provide pragmatic guidance to help stakeholders implement remedial measures safely and efficiently.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • You deliver high-quality, defensible risk assessments on time, every time, with clear prioritisation and actionable recommendations.
  • You build trust with clients and residents through professional conduct, clear communication and proportionate decision-making.
  • You reduce residual risk across portfolios by driving timely action close-out and verifying effectiveness of controls.
  • You stay current with legislation, guidance and industry best practice, proactively updating templates and processes.
  • You maintain meticulous records, evidence trails and photographs that withstand audit and regulatory scrutiny.
  • You positively influence behaviours on site, embedding safe systems of work and consistent compliance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
