Role Overview
This is an opportunity to join SRVO’s growing Risk team as a Fire and Health & Safety Risk Assessor, working across a portfolio of purpose-built residential developments throughout the UK.
You’ll be conducting site-based fire and H&S risk assessments on behalf of residential property managers, producing high-quality reports and providing clear, practical guidance to clients on compliance and remedial action.
The role is remote-based with regular travel to sites across London. It suits a technically confident Assessor who is comfortable working autonomously, managing their own schedule and building trusted client relationships.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
You’ll plan and execute your own site visits, producing accurate and timely risk assessments to a consistently high standard. You’ll be expected to work independently while staying closely connected to the wider team.
Clients are primarily residential property managers overseeing large, purpose-built developments. You’ll liaise directly with them to explain findings, agree remedial action plans and support them in meeting their compliance obligations.
Technical rigour matters. Assessments must reflect current legislation and best practice, and your advice will often inform how clients prioritise and schedule significant remedial works.
What Success Looks Like
You’ll be successful in this role if:
- You consistently deliver accurate, well-structured risk assessments on time
- Clients understand your findings and trust your advice
- You manage your diary and travel efficiently, meeting KPI targets
- Your technical knowledge is current and applied with sound professional judgement
- You build strong, long-term relationships with clients and colleagues

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
