Salary: In the region of £40,000 depending on experience, plus car/allowance, bonus, and other Veolia benefits Grade: 6.1 Location: Mobile with travel covering North London and Home Counties (incl. Solihull, Northampton, Watford, South Bucks, Haringey, St Albans, Brent, Wembley)

Key Responsibilities
- Site Mindfulness: Actively support business risk & assurance initiatives by:
- Conducting regular site visits (aligned to annual plans)
- Ensuring compliance with safety & operational standards
- Undertaking audits, including engagement visits and monitoring improvement progress
- Multi-Faceted Coverage: Work across:
- Municipal waste collections
- Streetcleaning teams
- Transfer stations
- Fleet workshops
- Engagement & Improvement: Collaborate with teams to:
- Identify opportunities for enhancement
- Provide actionable solutions
- Stakeholder Liaison:
- Partner closely with the Municipal Risk & Assurance Manager
- Support operations and engage with external stakeholders (regulators, customers)
- Act as an advisory resource for industry best practices
- Client Advocacy: Advise clients on cost-effective, compliant operational strategies.

Essential Requirements
- Proven track record in a Safety Advisor or similar role, ideally within waste management
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
- demonstrable auditing experience
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders at site level
- Stellar communication & interpersonal skills to:
- Deliver customer-first service
- Interface effectively internally and externally
