Senior Risk Consultant – UK Offices
About the Role

We’re seeking a Senior Risk Consultant to join our integrated team across UK offices, advising on Risk Management solutions for large-scale infrastructure projects.
This role sits at the heart of our Integrated Programme Controls team, requiring collaboration with senior stakeholders, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to shape decision-making, governance, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Your contribution will drive project success through robust risk mitigation and governance frameworks. Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging with project teams to implement effective risk management solutions
- Advising on bids and proposals to secure new business and build competitive proposals
- Conducting risk assurance checks to validate and enhance project risk frameworks
- Communicating risk insights to senior leaders via comprehensive risk reports and dashboards
- Facilitating key risk activities:
- Identification, assessment, and prioritisation of risks within projects
- Development of Risk Registers, Risk Management Plans, and Mitigation Strategies
- Deployment of Quantitative Risk Analysis (QCRA & QSRA) (e.g., Monte-Carlo modelling)
- Coaching/mentoring teams in risk management best practices
- Designing and implementing risk management frameworks compliant with ISO 31000 or industry standards (IRM, APM)
- Supporting cost, scheduling, project controls, and change management teams where beneficial

Who You Are
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in risk management, including at least 2 years on high-value projects
- Half-day normal working pattern
- Strong working knowledge of principles and tools (e.g., ARM, Xactium, RiskHive, Predict)
- Experience with Quantitative Risk Analysis (QCRA/ASCRA), Safran, Primavera Risk Analyzer, @RISK
- Proficiency in implementing risk management processes along best practices (ISO 31000, IRM, APM)
- Flexibility to travel/rotate across sectors and demonstrate versatility
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent risk certification: APM Risk Management, IRM, or MOR)
- Demonstrated multi-disciplinarity (from diverse sectors like construction, engineering, energy).
- Strong people management and facilitation skills to guide teams
- Practical exposure to cost/schedule/programme control methodologies
