Barclay Simpson is partnering with a leading financial services organisation to appoint a Risk & Controls Contractor.
Working within the First Line of Defence, you'll support the Finance function by testing key controls, identifying control weaknesses and driving remediation activities. You'll also contribute to incident management, third-party risk and the ongoing enhancement of the organisation's risk and control framework.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform controls testing and assess control effectiveness.
- Identify control weaknesses and support remediation activities.
- Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to strengthen the control environment.
- Support incident management and third-party risk activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the risk and controls framework.
About You

You'll have experience in a Risk & Controls, Operational Risk, Internal Audit or Risk Advisory role within financial services.
You'll also have:
- Hands-on experience of controls testing and remediation.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A practical, collaborative approach to improving controls and governance.
Contract Details
- 6-month contract
- London (hybrid working, two days per week in the office)
- Competitive day rate
