- This is a full-time permanent position, based in our London office. We operate on a hybrid working arrangement and require a minimum of 2 days in the office. Overview:
The Risk & Insurance Manager will support the development and ongoing management of Fifty5Blue’s global risk and insurance framework. Working across Technology, Operations, Data Privacy, Finance, and People functions, the role will help identify, assess, and manage risk exposures, while supporting the design and delivery of the company’s global insurance programme.
This is a hands-on role focused on embedding practical risk management processes, improving visibility of key risks, and ensuring appropriate protection is in place as the business continues to scale.
The role serves as the primary point of contact for all day-to-day insurance matters across the business, overseeing global insurance policies and leading renewals. The individual will act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders and external brokers and insurers, building trusted relationships across functions to ensure insurance considerations are well understood and consistently managed.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Management & Framework Support
- Maintain and develop risk registers and/or risk management systems across core business areas (Technology, Data Privacy, Operations, People, Finance)
- Support risk identification, assessment, and mitigation planning with stakeholders
- Track risk actions within agreed tools, ensuring timely updates and accountability
- Support the implementation and ongoing use of risk management software, as the framework evolves
- Act as a member of the Risk Management Committee, contributing to governance discussions, risk prioritisation, and mitigation planning
- Prepare and deliver monthly and quarterly risk reporting to senior stakeholders, including risk trends, mitigation progress, emerging risks, and key exposures
- Coordinate risk updates and reporting inputs from business functions to support governance and decision-making

Insurance Programme Support
- Support the placement, renewal, and ongoing management of global insurance programmes (e.g., Cyber, Professional Indemnity, Property, Liability)
- Work with internal stakeholders, brokers, and insurers to gather underwriting information and support renewal strategy
- Assist in claims notification and coordination, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
- Manage insurance renewals end-to-end, including underwriting submissions, exposure data collection, insurer meetings, and renewal strategy coordination
- Review contractual insurance requirements, indemnities, and liability provisions and support stakeholders with ad hoc insurance-related queries
- Coordinate responses to insurance and risk queries from clients, procurement teams, and operational stakeholders
- Support supplier and subcontractor insurance compliance reviews where required
- Support travel risk, fleet risk, and operational risk management initiatives globally
- Work with Technology and Data Privacy teams on cyber risk controls and insurance alignment
- Support business continuity and crisis management framework development where required
- Support M&A activity, new market entry assessments, and operational change projects from a risk and insurance perspective
Operational & Business Engagement
- Work closely with Operations and project teams to understand evolving risk exposures, including delivery, motor fleet, subcontractor, and client risks
- Support embedding risk awareness into day-to-day decision making across the business
- Assist with incident reviews and lessons learned processes where relevant
Data, Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Support the development of risk data, reporting, and insight, including trend analysis
- Assist in identifying opportunities to improve risk controls and reduce exposure
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk and insurance processes, tools, and documentation
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience in risk management and/or corporate insurance (preferably within a technology, media, or professional services environment)
- Understanding of key insurance lines such as Cyber, Tech-PI, Liability, and Property
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across multiple business functions around the world
- Organised and detailed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working with data, systems, and evolving processes
