Location: Corsham
Contract: Initial 12 months (with strong possibility of extension)

We are currently seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join a complex programme environment, supporting effective project delivery through strong risk management, planning, reporting, and governance processes.
This is an excellent opportunity for a DV-cleared professional with experience in project controls, RAIDO management, MSP planning, and performance reporting to play a key role in supporting successful programme outcomes.
The Role
As a Risk Manager, you will provide essential support to the project team by maintaining effective risk management processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting planning and scheduling activities.
You will be responsible for managing RAIDO processes, monitoring project performance, maintaining project controls, and working closely with stakeholders to identify and manage risks that may impact delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain RAIDO logs, including Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies, and Opportunities.
- Conduct risk assessments across projects, programmes, and business operations.
- Identify, analyse, and monitor strategic, operational, commercial, financial, security, and delivery risks.
- Capture emerging risks and opportunities that may affect programme objectives.
- Maintain accurate risk registers and ensure risks are regularly reviewed and updated.
- Monitor risk trends and overall risk exposure.
- Support planning and scheduling activities, ensuring project plans remain accurate and up to date.
- Maintain project controls and provide accurate status updates.
- Prepare project performance reports, dashboards, and management information.
- Analyse project data and provide reporting insights to support decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support project governance, administration, and compliance activities.

Essential Experience & Skills
- Active DV Security Clearance with at least 6 months remaining.
- Sole UK National.
- Ability to meet enhanced security requirements, including STRAP induction eligibility.
- Proven experience in risk management within complex project or programme environments.
- Strong experience managing RAIDO processes and risk registers.
- Experience preparing and presenting project performance reports.
- MSP planning experience and strong scheduling capability.
- Experience managing risks, dependencies, assumptions, and issues.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Proactive approach with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience within MOD, Defence, or government environments.
- Experience working within highly secure programmes.
- Knowledge of structured project delivery frameworks.
Working Requirements
- Minimum 4 days onsite per week in Corsham (Monday–Thursday).
- Onsite attendance is mandatory due to secure IT systems and fixed onsite terminals.
- Flexible working hours may be available.
Security Requirements
Due to the nature of the role, candidates must:
- Hold active DV Clearance throughout the contract.
- Be a Sole UK National.
- Have no disqualifying foreign connections.
- Meet all required security and site access requirements.

- Initial 12-month contract.
- Strong potential for extension due to ongoing programme funding.
- Inside IR35.
