Job Description
Your Mission
Join a Defence project as a Risk Manager, leading risk identification, analysis, and mitigation across a Joint Project Team for a major infrastructure programme.
Reporting to the Programme Delivery Lead, you’ll work across client sites and industry partners in a high-stakes, dynamic environment, ensuring risks are proactively managed throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the risk management process, roadmap, and Target Operating Model (TOM)
- Conduct monthly risk reviews and workshops while maintaining risk registers and dashboards 📊
- Support Quantitative Cost & Schedule Risk Analysis (QCRA/QSRA) and deliver quarterly reporting 💸⏱️
- Oversee project assumptions and update the Master Data & Assumptions List (MDAL) 📚
- Track mitigation plans and ensure timely execution of risk actions 🔎
- Collaborate with project leads, suppliers, and partners to streamline risk management and delivery
- Monitor supply chain performance, flagging emerging issues early 🚀
- Ensure compliance with client processes and infrastructure requirements 🛠️

Requirements
Essential
✅ SC Clearance (held and available for on-site work, 3–4 days/week) ✅ Proven expertise in risk processes and management ✅ Strong analytical skills for data-driven risk identification and trend analysis 🔎 ✅ experience in infrastructure risk analysis ✅ Leadership in stakeholder management, organisation, and project delivery 🤝 ✅ Proficiency in IT tools and project management software
Desirable
⭐ Knowledge of defence/industrial risks, including competitors and adversaries ⭐ ability to communicate confidently at an executive level 🎤 ⭐ Agility, adaptability, and responsiveness to rapidly changing demands 🔄 ⭐ Experience managing risks in complex, live operational environments ⭐ Strong teamwork skills for multi-agency collaborations
