Iβm in my final year doing Economics and I donβt know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer β it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) donβt need a masters. Letβs look at the ones youβd be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet β that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why Join?
Risk and Regulatory Compliance professionals play a critical role in helping organisations manage risk, meet regulatory requirements, and maintain strong governance standards. However, many candidates struggle to demonstrate practical compliance experience when applying for roles in financial services and regulated industries.
This placement helps bridge that gap by providing hands-on exposure to risk management, compliance monitoring, governance frameworks, regulatory reviews, and financial crime compliance through realistic business scenarios and industry-led mentoring.
You will build practical knowledge, develop portfolio-ready projects, and gain the confidence needed for careers as a Compliance Analyst, Risk Analyst, Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Analyst, Regulatory Compliance Officer, Operational Risk Analyst, Compliance Monitoring Officer, or Financial Services Compliance professional in the UK job market.
You will not be working for the company or replacing paid employees. This unpaid programme is focused on learning, skill development, mentoring, and gaining valuable UK work experience.
