About the Role

As a Chef de Rang, you’ll oversee a friendly, professional, and excellent service in the restaurant, bar, lounge, and sundeck while ensuring full guest satisfaction and compliance with Viking Standards and Operating Procedures. You’ll report directly to the Maître D’Hotel.


Responsibilities

  • Provide welcoming, sales-oriented service across the restaurant, bar, lounge, and sundeck
  • Ensure correct operation of the Wait Order System (WOS)
  • Manage all Food & Beverage operations, including functions and special events
  • Maintain cleanliness and HACCP standards in restaurants, bars, pantries, lounges, and sundeck
  • Participate in onboard training programs and daily menu presentations
  • Handle inventories, establish par levels, and assist cross-departmentally as required

Requirements

  • Minimum: High School diploma (hospitality-focused degree preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in:
    • Upscale cruise lines
    • Hotel bar operations
  • Fluent in English with exceptional communication skills
  • Discretion with sensitive information
  • Professional appearance, impeccable hygiene, and cleanliness (full-time walking/standing)
  • Strong wine and bar knowledge preferred
  • Service-oriented, positive, and stress-resistant
  • Flexible team player, committed to collaboration
