Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for overseeing nursing services during the assigned shift, ensuring residents receive quality, individualized care in accordance with physician orders, care plans, and all federal, state, and facility regulations.

Working closely with the Director of Nursing and interdisciplinary team, the RN provides clinical leadership while promoting a safe, compassionate, and resident-centered environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support licensed nurses and nursing assistants during assigned shifts.
  • Assess residents and monitor changes in condition.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Complete admissions, transfers, and discharges.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in resident condition.
  • Ensure compliance with infection control practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and support nursing staff while promoting teamwork and excellent resident care.

Qualifications

  • Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or sub-acute experience preferred.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Compassionate and resident-focused approach to care.
