Job Title: Road Freight Operator Location: Hybrid – Bristol Employment Type: Permanent Salary: £25,000 – £27,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience) Start Date: May/June 2026 (ASAP start available)
About the Role My client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Road Freight Operator to join a growing logistics team based in Bristol. This position is ideal for someone with existing road freight experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong customer relationships. The team is friendly, supportive, and focused on shared success — you’ll be joining a close-knit group within a branch that continues to expand on the back of strong performance.

Key Responsibilities Manage a dedicated set of customer accounts. Handle all aspects of bookings, including quoting and arranging transport. Provide accurate spot quotes and ensure timely follow-up. Maintain customer relationships, ensuring a high level of service. Process invoices and resolve invoice-related queries. Respond to phone and email enquiries promptly and professionally. Support the wider operations team as required.
Skills & Experience Essential: Experience within road freight or transport operations (import/export or domestic). Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to multitask and thrive under pressure. Confident using IT systems and handling documentation. Reliable, proactive, and eager to learn and take on new tasks. Excellent time management and attention to detail. Desirable: Basic knowledge of customs procedures. 2–5 years’ experience in a similar role within freight forwarding or logistics.

Working Hours Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
