About the Role
At Panda, we deliver reliable waste and recycling services that support local communities and businesses. Reporting to the Transport Manager, we are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Road Sweeper Driver to join our operations team.
As part of a collaborative and diverse team, this role is crucial in maintaining clean, safe environments across our sites and client locations. You'll operate a road sweeper vehicle at our Quarrington site, ensuring efficient and high-quality cleaning services aligned with our commitment to operational excellence and environmental care.

- Guaranteed hours: Minimum 37.5 hours per week
- Shift pattern: 14:00 – 22:00 (2pm – 10pm), Monday to Friday (no weekends)

What You’ll Be Doing
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Vehicle operation: Safely and efficiently driving road sweepers across assigned routes or designated areas.
- Site maintenance: Delivering a high-quality sweep to ensure clean, safe working environments compliant with health & safety regulations.
- Vehicle compliance: Performing pre-use inspection checks, reporting defects promptly, and accurately completing paperwork (e.g. route logs and inspection forms).
- Safety-conscious: Following site, transport, and road regulations at all times.
- Customer service excellence: Representing Panda professionally, maintaining a positive, friendly demeanour with clients and colleagues.
- Team collaboration: Supporting the wider transport team to keep operations running smoothly.

What We’re Looking For
Essential requirements:
- A valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Up-to-date Driver CPC and a valid Digital Tachograph card
- Strong understanding of health and safety, daily defect checks, and driver compliance
- Proven ability in attendance, punctuality, and self-motivation
- Clear communication and a customer-focused attitude
Preferred experience:
- Previous experience operating road sweepers (though full training will be provided)
Everyday expectations:
- Reliability and flexibility for a 9-hour afternoon shift (14:00 – 22:00), Monday to Friday
- Commitment to working from our Quarrington site
