Roadside Assist Mechanic – The AA


Our Commitment to You

  • Guaranteed year 1 earnings: £35,936 inclusive of allowances
  • OTE up to: £45,000 for top performers

Shift Requirements

As a patrol, you’ll work an average of 40-hour weeks with flexible shift patterns to suit your lifestyle.

  • Shift hours and rest days vary based on your chosen pattern.
  • Evening, weekend, and Bank Holiday shifts available—your schedule, your terms.

What You’ll Do

  • Start & end on your driveway: Paid from when you leave your home to when you return, covering each job from first stop to final arrival.
  • Work independently with team spirit: Trusted to adapt to changing locations and conditions while staying connected to your supportive AA team.
  • Troubleshoot under pressure: Apply your technical know-how to combine efficiency with a calm, customer-focused approach.
  • Respond to anything: From flat tyres to major mechanical failures—you’re prepared for all roadside scenarios.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • NVQ2 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Full Category B (car) driver’s licence with 6 points or fewer.
  • Curiosity with new tech: We’ll provide the tools—you bring the commitment to master them.
  • Flexibility to work shifts: Evenings, weekends, and Bank Holidays—just like an unpredictable journey.
