Roadside Rescue Mechanic – The AA
Salary: £38,270
Total OTE: Up to £60,000 (based on top performance)

As a Patrol Roadside Rescue Mechanic, you’ll work variable shifts under a flexible schedule—making 40-hour weeks with the freedom to choose days that suit you. The AA doesn’t just provide a job; they provide backup—for members and for your lifestyle.

Key Responsibilities
- Start and end shifts on your driveway – you’re paid start to finish (from the moment you leave home to when you return).
- Work autonomously across locations and conditions as part of a supportive team.
- Apply technical knowledge and clear communication to ensure exceptional customer service under pressure.
- Troubleshoot roadside dilemmas with quick decision-making and calm professionalism.

Requirements
Essential Criteria
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualification + relevant experience.
- Full UK category B driving licence (with 6 points or fewer).
- Confidence adapting to new technology (we’ll provide tools, you bring curiosity).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays (breakdowns don’t follow a 9–5 schedule).
