Roadside Rescue Mechanic – The AA

As our Roadside Rescue Mechanic, you’ll be the friendly face of the UK’s largest motoring organisation—the superhero who gets members back on the road safely, no matter what (or when!) breakdowns happen.
What will I be doing?
- Early starts and focused work – Beginning and ending on your driveway, paid for the full duration.
- Independent & team-supported roles – Working across varied locations and conditions while staying connected to your team.
- Technical problem-solving – Using your expertise and clear communication to create exceptional customer experiences.
- Adaptable & resilient – Handling a wide range of roadside situations with confidence and calm.

What do I need?
✅ Qualifications & skills:
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent qualifications with relevant experience
- Full Category B (car) driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
- Adaptability with new technology (we’ll provide tools—bring your curiosity!)
✅ Work schedule flexibility:
- Willing to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays (breakdowns don’t follow a 9-to-5 schedule)
