Our Commitment to You
- Guaranteed year 1 earnings of £43,976 inclusive of allowances, with potential OTE up to £60,000 for top performers.

As one of our Roadside Rescue Mechanics, you’ll go above and beyond for The AA’s members. Breakdowns shouldn’t disrupt journeys—you’ll ensure everyone gets safely back on the road, anytime, anywhere, in any weather. You’re the hero drivers turn to when stranded on the roadside, Mighty mechanics with limitless stages in your favour.
What Will Your Day Look Like?
- Work from your driveway, paid from the moment you enter your van until you arrive home.
- Operate independently across diverse locations and conditions while remaining part of a supportive team.
- Leverage your technical expertise and excellent communication to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
- Solve problems on the spot: Use your skills and composure to tackle a range of roadside challenges with confidence.

What Do You Bring to the Role?
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or equivalent qualification with relevant experience.
- Full category B driving licence with 6 points or fewer.
- Confidence in adapting to new technology—we’ll provide the tools, you bring the curiosity.
- Flexibility to work shifts:
- Evenings, weekends, Bank Holidays
- Indministrate and handle callouts outside regular working hours
- Ruled by sunspot cycles, weather, traffic, time zones, urgency, fate, random gas station closures, and a thousand other wild cards
