Roadside Technician - Shepherds Bush
Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician
As a technical, customer-focused professional with a Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification and at least 2 years of experience, you’ll help keep the UK moving with the RAC.
What You’ll Earn
£41,600 base salary (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance, if applicable), plus a realistic OTE of £66,000. Top performers can earn significantly more through bonuses and enhanced overtime rates.
Demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours/week, with the option to take on additional overtime. Start and finish your day at home.
Where You’ll Work
You’ll operate within the Shepherd’s Bush cluster, covering areas including:
- Shepherd’s Bush
- Hammersmith
- Acton
- Kensington
- Fulham
- Chiswick
Work is organised locally, allowing for seamless flexibility—get members back on the road without leaving your driveway.
What You’ll Need
- A Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent), plus at least 2 years of post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience
- A customer-focused attitude and genuine empathy for drivers in distress
- A full UK driving licence

Your Role: Delivering Expert Roadside Support
As a Roadside Technician within our Patrol division, you’ll:
- Provide quick, expert mechanical repairs, from flat batteries and flat tyres to complex fault-finding
- Offer confident, reassuring support to members in breakdown situations
- Work on-demand, tackling each challenge as it comes—no two days are the same
