Roald Dahl Neonatal CMC Nurse Specialist
ODN Neonatal with Medical Complexity Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
The ODN Neonatal with Medical Complexity Neonatal Nurse Practitioner will work as part of the multidisciplinary team within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the Operational Delivery Network (ODN), providing specialist nursing care to neonates and infants with complex medical needs.
This role involves working collaboratively across regional neonatal services to ensure the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care for vulnerable neonates from birth to discharge.
Interviews planned for W/C 27th July.
Responsibilities
The role provides leadership across the ODN, acting as a source of expertise, advice, and knowledge for:
- Neonates
- Families
- Healthcare professionals
Key Leadership & Strategic Tasks:
- Work with the ODN Manager and Lead Clinicians as part of a multi-disciplinary leadership team.
- Lead the strategic and operational development of coherent and effective ODN arrangements.
- Drive a programme of work addressing national and local priorities to improve services.
- Oversee education and training, clinical effectiveness, clinical audit, service-user engagement, and risk management related to the care of medically complex neonates and their families.
