Roles and Responsibilities
- Organization and leadership of projects related to new facilities, factory buildings, remediation, new equipment, layout, renovation, and optimization. Management of capital investments. Includes advanced manufacturing engineers, New Product Introduction (NPI) and NPI Manufacturing Engineers.
- Requires expertise within the function. Influences the development of strategy for the area of responsibility, including control of resources, and influences policy formulation.
- Leads a small to medium team of experienced professionals as well as others.
- Evaluates simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices for improving products, processes, or services. Stays informed about industry trends that can inform the work.
- Uses a high level of judgment to make decisions and solve complex tasks or problems in the areas of operations, product management, manufacturing, technology, or design. Has the ability to assess the quality of the information provided and to ask relevant questions to stakeholders. Can offer new solutions to problems that are outside the established parameters and is able to create and deliver recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside the own function to make a decision.
- Can lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or moderate complexity. Communicates difficult concepts and can influence others' options on certain topics. Can instruct others to adopt a different point of view.

- This role requires extensive experience. The level of knowledge is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.

- Very good verbal and written communication skills. Strong social skills and leadership qualities. Proven ability to analyze and solve problems. Proven ability to lead programs/projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Documented project management skills.
